SEN. CASSIDY INTRODUCES IMPROVED FED. HISTORIC TAX CREDIT

Earlier this month, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (LA) filed legislation that will improve the federal historic tax credit. Check out the press release for all the details. We are fortunate in Louisiana that our U.S. Senator understands and appreciates the impact of the federal and state HTC programs, and is willing to serve as a national leader to ensure that the already-successful program is improved where needed.

Please share the press release with members of your community. And if you have a moment to reach out to Senator Cassidy’s office, please email his tax staffer, Katie Rudis [email protected], thanking her for her hard work and leadership on this legislation.

DID YOU KNOW? Preservation of Alliance of Lafayette is an independent 501(c)(3) organization. We are separate and distinct from the Lafayette Preservation Commission, which is a branch of Lafayette City-Parish Consol. Government Planning and Zoning Department. The Preservation Commission is the governmental entity which approves properties for Lafayette’s Registry of Historic Properties. The Preservation Alliance is an educational and advocacy organization whose mission is to increase awareness, appreciation, and participation in the preservation of historic and cultural characteristics of Lafayette. The Commission meets on the third Thursday of each month. The Preservation Alliance Board of Directors meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month and will provide updates to our members from both meetings.
